“Art is a means by which the artists convey their passion; it is that current of passion which sweeps you along. The artist can then reach moments of wholeness with the work produced. It is this act of doing which is the compelling thing.”

This is the credo which has plunged this former educator into the world of art. After devoting a quarter of a century to teaching science at Central Catholic and Satellite High’ she retired to actively pursue her passion of art. Now she is busier than ever with commitments to her family, her community, her art career—all of which are flourishing. To fulfill her long imbedded creative desire, she has studied with many artist in this community. In other areas she has taken classes at the Ringling School of Art and Design, the Arrowmount School of Design in Tennessee, and from master pastelist Dough Dawson.She is presently a member of Brevard Museum of Art, Brevard Cultural Alliance, the Artist Guild, Strawbridge Art League, where she was selected to exhibit at the juried shows and has won awards. She has received national recognition by having her work juried for a special showing in the 64 National Annual Exhibition of Contemporary American Painting and Photography by the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, Fl. Her work is shown and sold in many places in Brevard County and Orlando
