"Glancing back, I’ve lived on the edge all my life."

|
...Our family lived in Biloxi, then Japan, then England, then California, then to Florida in the ‘60’s. I married my rocket scientist who I met at his oceanfront beach house in Cocoa Beach, and we lived in Hawaii for his tour in the Army. We built our home and raised Jane and Neil in Seminole County and in 2004, we moved back to Brevard County and the beach! Always, my passion to learn, and teach, has led me to immerse into my surroundings and find satisfaction in creating with my hands. When I discovered my talent as an emerging artist, I began striving to find something unique to offer, and that path has defined me. Urging me to use my talents are a sisterhood of artists who have shown me that art is fun, and the quote I most relate to is: “If something comes to life in others because of you, then you have made an approach to immortality” – Norman Cousins.
...And so, it seems I have been drawn to art, and teaching, and using the infinite natural beauty for expressing delight. I make wearable art and home accessories mostly from “the beach”. My forte is that I am good with wire, and “things that have holes in them”.
My crafted products are “artfully worn”, just as I am. |
