“It is so easy to love Nature and impossible not to be in awe of it.”

Fragile Trio
Denice van Waardenburg was born and educated in South Africa. In 1979, in Brazil, she started painting on porcelain. Denice loves nature and has become very concerned with the endangered Wildlife. Her love for Africa and the increasing world interest in the preservation of endangered species has fuelled her desire to express this on Porcelain

Reflection
When I changed from “oils” to Porcelain Painting I began to feel that this was an opportunity to show not only my feelings to nature lovers, but also to tell my Peers, friends and acquaintances about the thrill of this my approach of Porcelain painting. My interest in painting Wildlife seems to be increasing daily. The ties with Africa and the rekindled universal interest for the endangered species, are a constant inspiration to express this on Porcelain."
Something About the Art of Porcelain PaintingPorcelain Painting is an ancient Art, which originated in China. It is also referred to as China Painting, Mineral- or over-glaze Painting. Marco Polo brought it to Europe in the 13th. Century. In the late 1880's this Art began to flourish in America. “Although many still associate the Art with antiques, to-day’s Porcelain Painting can be a “reincarnation” of Porcelain Art by those Artists who feel themselves on the threshold of contemporary and other Art expressions without boundaries or dimensions.”
